Chief of West Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing; Vice Governor of West Papua, Mohamad Lakotani; and Commander of 181/PVT Sorong Military District, Armed Forces Brigadier General Indra Heri, inspect the Level 4 PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement) command post in Sorong City on Friday (30/07/21).
"I inspected to ensure the implementation method. People seemed to have understood. We went to some potentially crowd-inducing places, but there are no crowds", Police Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing said.
Chief of West Papua Regional Police also said that Level 4 PPKM affected several sectors, such as lessening buyers in the shop. Therefore, West Papua Regional Police gave tens of basic necessities packages to betel nut sellers.
The two-star general appeals to the public to stay at home in order to push down Covid-19 cases until at least 10%.
Meanwhile, Chief of PR and Press Division of West Papua Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adam Erwindi, said that the following agenda is to inspect mass vaccination events in Sorong city.
"The vaccination is not only in Sorong but also simultaneously in all Departmental Police across the West Papua", Chief of PR and Press Division of West Papua Regional Police said.
