Chief of Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri, explained that the arson case of Nimboran Sectoral Police, Jayapura regency, occurred on Monday (3/8) at 13.00 local time was reported by the unidentified member of the family involved in the shooting incident.
Chief of Papua Regional Police reported that the case was started from the crossbar-making action, so the personnel of Nimboran Sectoral Police came to the crime scene and tried to arrest the crossbar maker, who was under the influence of alcoholic drinks before they resisted. They even attack the personnel with a crowbar who attempted to stop the person.
The victim was reported dead, so the family attacked and burned down the Nimboran Sectoral Police Station. There are no casualties. However, the building was totally burned down.
Chief of Jayapura Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Fredrickus W A Maclarimboen, planned to attend the crime scene to know the details.
