Chief of Papua Regional Police: One Member of Indonesian National Police Died When Unknown People Attacked Oksamol Sub-Sector Police

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Chief of Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri confirmed there was an attack at the Oksamel Sub-Sector Police, Gunung Bintang Regency, by an unknown people (OTK) on Friday (05/28/21) at 01.30 am Eastern Indonesia Time. One member of the Indonesian National Police died and three rifles were taken.

“Yes, there was an attack that killed, Mario Senio,” Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri explained.

Based on the report of Chief of Kiwirok Sector Police, the news was received through SSB office AMA Kiwirok, that on Friday around 01:30 am Eastern Indonesia Time there was an attack at Oksamol Sub-Sector Police. The attack caused the death of Briptu Sanoi.

From the reports received, Briptu Sanoi was on duty alone when the incident occured. Oksamol Sub-Sector Police only had four members. At that time, the three of them was outside Oksamol. One was in Jayapura for medication, and two of them was in Oksibil, the capital of Pegunungan Bintang Regency.

The attackers were six people and they took two SS1 V1 (a type of rifle) and one revolver along with the amunition, as explained by the Chief of Papua Regional Police.

According to Chief of Papua Regional Police, report from Chief of Kiwirok Sector Police, Friday (05/28) morning mentioned that through SSB Office AMA Kiwirok, it was said that on Friday at 01:30 am Eastern Indonesia Time, there was an attack at Oksamol Sub-Sector Police. The attack caused the death of Briptu Sanoi, the Chief of the Sub-Sector Police.

He was on duty alone at that time. The three other members were outside Oksamol Sub-Sector Police. Two were in Oksibil, the capital of Gunung Bintang Regency and the other was in Jayapura for medical treatment.

There were six attackers and they brought away two SS1 V1 and one revolver along with the amunition, explained the two-star general.
