Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police Instruct His Personnel to Close a Neighbourhood's Road Access After One Resident Tested Positive for Covid-19.

Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak, closes several roads in which some of its citizens tested positive for Covid-19. one of them is at Eka Rasmi road, Gedung Johor subdistrict and Wijaya Kusuma Pasar IV, Setiabudi, Medan.

"I have instructed all personnel to close neighbourhood access whose its resident tested positive for Covid-19, and conduct tight inspection so residents will not go in and out of the neighbourhood", Chief of Regional Police said on Saturday (29/5/2021).

Chief of Regional Police stated that the access closure is conducted so that the resident exposed by Covid-19 can properly self-isolating for 14 days.

"All people exposed to Covid-19, please do regular health check", Chief of Regional Police said.

Chief of Regional Police said that there would be personnel whose duty is tracing and interviewing the resident exposed by Covid-19. They will ask where the person previously went so that Covid-19 transmission can be avoided. "We have to act together in mitigating Covid-19 transmission" Chief of Regional Police concludes.
