Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police Released 1,193 Trained Tracers, to Help Handling Covid-19 in 5 Regions in North Sulawesi Province

Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nana Sujana, accompanied by Deputy Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, released North Sulawesi Regional Police Youth NCO to become Covid-19 tracer in North Sulawesi region. The shift in tracer was carried out in a parade at North Sulawesi Regional Police Headquarters yard, Friday (08/06/2021).

In this activity, the two-star general said currently North Sulawesi Regional Police already have 783 field tracers consisting of 483 Community Police Officers and 300 General Assignment Police personnels, and have retrained 410 Youth NCO personnels in 2020 and 2021. So the current total, there are 1193 tracer personnels from North Sulawesi Regional Police.

"Youth NCOs who are the tracer staff will be deployed to 5 police areas with the highest spread of Covid-19, Manado City Resort Police, Minut Resort Police, Bitung Resort Police, Minahasa Resort Police and Tomohon Resort Police," Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained .

These personnels, he said, had previously been trained on how to carry out tracing, interview techniques, how to fill out forms and use the Silacak application provided by the Coaching Team from North Sulawesi Provincial Health Agency.

"I hope this activity can be carried out well, this is a noble task, a humanitarian task to overcome and eradicate Covud-19, and this can become a field of worship," Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained.

Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police said the task and responsibility of preventing Covid-19 is also a joint task of all existing components, starting from Government, Indonesia National Armed Forces – Indonesia National Police and other stakeholders, including religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders, youth leaders and the entire community.

Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police hopes all people will be disciplined and comply with Covid-19 prevention health protocols, follow vaccinations and if necessary can assist officers in the implementation of 3T (testing, tracing and treatment).

“Community must be open and not afraid, help the officers in the field. I hope public can be opened so tracer's task is easier and able to track the spread of Covid-19, " Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police explained.

To these Indonesia National Police tracers, Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police also provided supplies for carrying out their duties in the form of medicines, multivitamins, masks and hand sanitizers.
