Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief of National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT), Police General Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, advises people to respond to conflicts between Afghanistan and Taliban groups wisely. He asked people not to get wrong in sympathising.

Because, due to the arising problem, it is not impossible that some groups try to gather sympathisers, said the Chief of BNPT on press release received on Friday (20/08/21).

"We indeed have to be careful in responding to situation development in Afghanistan, which have been deep in long conflicts. Do not let people get wrong to sympathise because, based on our observation, some people are trying to gather sympathisers on Taliban issues. We are paying attention to this", the three-star general said.

Police General Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar emphasises the public be wise and aware that anything that happens in Afghanistan is the problem of the country itself. The problem of mobility in the country is something that cannot occur in Indonesia.

"Do not let the people be influenced, so they join the unnecessary actions because we have ideology and constitution to put our country first, not another country", the Class of 1988 of Police Academy said.

Mentioning the possibility of the influence of the Taliban movement with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group network in Indonesia, the Chief of BNPT saw that the Taliban has no affiliation with ISIS. However, the Taliban's movement is trapped in violent actions, in which law terminology is classified as terror actions.

"During their effort to achieve power, Taliban conduct violence. This measure is not suitable for Indonesian values. Do not let the Taliban become a role model for the young generation because it opposites our philosophy and ideology of Pancasila", the former Deputy Chief of Training and Education Institution of Indonesian National Police said.
