Chief of Maluku Regional Police: Conduct Data Collection for Vaccination of Children in Maluku Province

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Ambon. Maluku Regional Police conducted data collection to carry out Covid-19 vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years old.

"We are also targeting vaccines for ages 12 to 17. We are currently collecting data," Chief of Maluku Regional Police, Police Inspector General Refdi Andri, explained Thursday (07/29/2021).

The two-star general revealed this after reviewing the implementation of On Campus Pesisi Vaccination with GMNI (Indonesian National Student Movement) at the Auditorium of Pattimura University (Unpatti), Ambon. The day before, the Chief of Maluku Regional Police also monitored the implementation of Maluku Regional Police vaccination with PMII (Indonesian Islamic Student Movement) management at Ambon State Polytechnic Campus Auditorium.

The two-star general said that Maluku Regional Police, in coordination with local government and heads of health agency in all regencies and cities, asked all Community Health Service to carry out vaccination activity. Maluku Regional Police is ready to deploy main equipments to reach people living in remote areas.

"We will also use ships belong to Maluku Regional Police so they can reach people in remote areas," Chief of Maluku Regional Police explained.

Chief of Maluku Regional Police hopes mass vaccination campaign promoted by all parties can achieve national target until December 18, 2021. He targets 8,622 people can be vaccinated in a day.

However, Chief of Maluku Regional Police emphasized vaccination must be accompanied by increasing the discipline to implement health protocols.

According to him, vaccination must also be accompanied by the implementation of strict health protocols. For people who are confirmed Covid-19 positive, they are expected to undergo isolation in a place provided by local government, not forcing themselves to self-quarantine at home.
