Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Lampung. Chief of Lampung Regional Police, Police Inspector General Hendro Sugiatno, appreciated the success of South Lampung Departmental Police in thwarting drug smuggling on Friday (20/8/2021).
As information, Police managed to seize 73 kgs of amphetamine, 111 kg of marijuana, and 4,050 pills of ecstasy. The evidence was seized at the checking area of Seaport Interdiction of Bakauheni Harbour.
The drugs are mainly from Aceh, Riau, North Sumatra. It would be delivered to several cities in Java island, such as Jakarta to Surabaya, by courier.
The suspects usually used the by-land delivery service to smuggle the drugs.
"The smuggling destinations are Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor, Depok, and Surabaya", he explained.
Besides seizing drugs worth billion rupiahs, Police also arrested 13 suspects out of five exposed cases.
One raid operation was in the suspect's rented house in Pegirian, Semampir district, Surabaya, East Java. On this particular raid, Police seized thousands of ecstasy pills.
From the seized evidence, the Chief of Lampung Regional Police and personnel of South Lampung Departmental Police and Regional Leaders Communication Forum of South Lampung exterminate the evidence of amphetamine and ecstasy by blending them with diesel fuel in the big bucket and burn them along with the marijuana.
