Chief of Indonesia National Police Together with Indonesian Minister of Health Lead the Launch of “Free Vaccination Movement”

Efforts to accelerate Covid-19 vaccination in Indonesia continue to be intensified by all parties, as carried out by Indonesia National Police, Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, led the launch of Free Vaccine Movement together with Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, CHFC, CLU., at Metro Jaya Meeting Hall, Great Jakarta Metro Regional Police, Sunday (08/01/21).

Free Vaccination Movement as strategy to achieve the target of 70 percent vaccination as a gift on the Independence Day of Republic of Indonesia (RI), on August 17, 2021. Free Vaccination Movement is collaboration of Greater Jakarta Metro Regional Police, Jakarta Provincial Government, Jaya Military Area Command, Covid-19 Task Force, associations of doctors, students, academics, and volunteers, which was carried out from August 1 to August 17 with target of 3,060,000 people being injected with vaccines on August 1 Indonesian Independence.

"Independence vaccination is vaccination strategy that will be implemented to celebrate our Independence Day on August 17th. Earlier, the target was more than 3 million to be vaccinated and on August 17th the vaccination was to reach the first dose followed by the second dose being achieved. Of course this is a spirit that I appreciate on this occasion, " Chief of Indonesia National Police said.

The event was also attended by Commander in Chief of Jaya Military Area Command , Maj. Gen. Mulyo Aji, Governor of Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan, ., Jakarta Chief Prosecutor, Febrie Adriansyah and High Rank Officers of Indonesia Police Headquarter as well as number of other guests.
