This needs to be done so people who are exposed to Covid-19 virus can be served and receive medical treatment and medicines. Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police also reminded that the handling of Covid, apart from health care, also needs to deal with economic recovery.
He also wants to strengthen and encourage security forces, that with all available resources take steps to anticipate Covid-19. Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police asked the entire community not to violate rules and need to take anticipatory steps by providing social assistance because PPKM (Commununity Activity Restriction) level 4 has fairly serious impact.
Head of Kupang City Health Agency, Retnowati, admitted currently in Kupang City there are several integrated isolation locations. In scout building on Adi Sucipto Street, Penfui Sub-District, Maulafa District, Kupang City, 40 beds have been prepared but so far they have not been filled.
In addition to beds, health facilities and health workers will also be prepared to help people who have been confirmed with Covid-19 virus and will occupy the prepared rooms. Kupang City Government also asked Head of East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Education and Training Agency for assistance to allow the location for Covid-19 patients.
At this location, which is located in Kolhua Sub-District, Maulafa District, Kupang City, there are 64 beds available as place for centralized isolation, but so far it has not been filled. This location is also equipped with adequate facilities and health personnels.
Another location that has become an integrated self-isolation place is e Penkase Oeleta Community Health Center, Alak District, Kupang City which is directly adjacent to Alak Sector Police office. In this Health Community Center, there are dozens of beds and dozens of medical personnels serving patients who are being treated. There are 23 Covid 19 patients consisting of 5 women and 18 men from various circles and from various sub-dsirtricts in Kupang City.
On average, these patients are mild and moderate category patients who were picked up by Kupang Health Brigade (BKS) of Kupang City and some came by themselves, asking to be treated at Community Health Service. There are also dozens of Covid-19 patients who have been declared cured and have been discharged.
It is hoped people can take advantage of existing health facilities to undergo integrated isolation so they are controlled and receive adequate health services.
Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police also monitored Penkase Oeleta Community Health Center which is an integrated isolation location and met with number of health workers who treat patients with Covid-19.
