Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police donates hundreds of books to the Pertahanan University of the Republic of Indonesia at the border

Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Police Inspector General Lotharia Latif donated hundreds of books by former Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General (Ret.) Muhammad Tito Karnavian for the Pertahanan University of the Republic of Indonesia Library in Belu Regency borders Timor Leste.

"These books review the policing paradigm of the democratic era in Indonesia. In this book, it is emphasized that the roots of the birth of the concept of policing grew and developed from the community, not from state power," said Police Inspector General Lotharia Latif during a visit to the Pertahanan University in Fatuketi Village, Kakuluk District Mesak, Belu Regency, Friday (19/11/21)

The visit of the number one person at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police was to give a public lecture to the Pertahanan University Student Cadets.

The book, entitled Democratic Policing by former Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General (Ret.) Muhammad Tito Karnavian was accepted by the Dean of the Vocational Faculty of the Pertahanan University, Brigadier General of Indonesian National Armed Forces Agus Winarna.

"The community has a large and strong capacity to determine the form of the police and supervise the implementation of policing duties and functions. Hopefully, this book can be useful for students as the nation's next generation," said the Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police when handing over the book.

In addition to books written by the former Chief of Indonesian National Police, the Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police also donated other books, including Police Brigadier General Chryshnanda Dwilaksana.

With the provision of hundreds of books, it is hoped that students will read and know about the implementation of police, legal and social duties.

The Number one person at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police is proud and will fully support the study program carried out by the Pertahanan University, both in socializing new student admissions and support related to the implementation of the lecture process.

In addition, the Chief of Regional Police also encouraged the cooperation of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police and the Pertahanan University in improving Human Resources (HR) in East Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Vocational Faculty of the Pertahanan University expressed his gratitude for the gift of the book from the number one person at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

He hoped that the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police would socialize that the Pertahanan University educates Diploma 3 and Undergraduate student cadets from Post Secondary School and has postgraduate and doctoral levels of education.

"So that it can be disseminated to the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police extended family that the Pertahanan University study program is not only Diploma 3 and Undergraduate, but there are postgraduate and doctoral levels. However, Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels are in Jakarta, while Sentul is the main campus of Pertahanan University.
