Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta together with High Rank Officers of East Java Regional Police monitored vaccination on the ship and at the pier.
This is done to accelerate vaccination for fishing and coastal communities at Kroman Gresik Pier, Tuesday (08/03/21).
"Today, together with the Directorate of Water and Air of East Java Regional Police together with Gresik Resort Police, supported by Medical and Health Unit and its staff, Merdeka vaccination is carried out, targeting fishers and coastal communities, with total of 900 people," Police Inspector General Nico Afinta explained.
Chief of East Java Regional Police also said registration for people who have not vaccinated have been opened. It is part to celebrate 2021Independence Day.
"This activity will continue until August 17. For people who have not vaccinated, please register with the nearest Police Unit, either at Water Police, at Gresik Resort Police, Sector Police, NCO Law Enforcement officer, and community police officer," the two-star General explained.
During his visit, Chief of East Java Regional Police also distributed packages of social assistance to fishers and coastal residents and took the time to greet residents who were waiting in line, and reminded them to continue implementing health protocols, even though vaccinations had been carried out.
"Let's all carry out the vaccine, this is part of preventing the spread of covid. Apart from that, let's continue to implement health protocol by always maintaining 5M protocol. Wear masks, wash hands, keep the distance, stay away from crowds and reduce activities," the 1992 graduate Police Academy mentioned.
Police Inspector General Nico Afinta asked for support from all parties to jointly make this vaccination activity run smoothly.
