Chief of Central Java Regional Police Harvest and Sow Fish Seeds in the Sectoral Police of Sukoharjo Departmental Police

Tribratanes.polri.go.id - Sukoharjo. Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, visited Sukoharjo regency, precisely in Command Headquarter of Polokarto Sectoral Police of Sukoharjo Departmental Police, on Wednesday (8/9/2021).

In his visit, Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, also harvested 3,000 catfishes in the pond of Polokarto Sectoral Police. Not only harvesting, but the Chief of Regional Police also replaced the harvested catfish with another 3,000 catfish seeds.

"The harvesting and sowing of 3,000 catfish is the implementation of the government program of food upgrade and in accordance with the policy of the Chief of Indonesian National Police on the Police's involvement in national economic recovery", Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi said.

Chief of Central Java Regional Police added that he greatly appreciated the effort because, in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Java, Indonesian National Police participated in the public's social problems.

Sectoral Police, as the basis of early detection, has conducted its effort through food security activities such as fish, vegetables, and fruits cultivation, adjusting the land owned by the Sectoral Police. The harvest is to be distributed to their neighbouring community.

"It is indeed a form of social bonding from Police personnel to the public so the maintenance of community security and order would be easily achieved", he explained.

"I thank the personnel of Sukoharjo Departmental Police and the public. This means we have the activity in the middle of the pandemic without sacrificing the strict Health Protocols implementation", he concluded.

Meanwhile, Chief of Sukoharjo Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Wahyu Nugroho Setyawan, said that Sukoharjo Departmental Police is intensifying the Food Security and Resilient Village programme as the 5th operational transformation programme of the Chief of Indonesian National Police's programme, which stated the stabilisation of maintenance of community security and order performance through proactive Police, and also the 51st action about optimising community Police programme with prioritising local wisdom.

The food security programmes of the Sectoral Police of Sukoharjo Departmental Police are as follows: ten fish ponds in Polokarto Sectoral Police, five fish ponds in Grogol Sectoral Police, one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Gatak Sectoral Police, one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Baki Sectoral Police, and one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Mojolaban Sectoral Police.

There are also one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Bendosari Sectoral Police, one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Nguter Sectoral Police, one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Sukoharjo City Sectoral Police, two fish ponds and vegetable and fruit garden in Tawangsari Sectoral Police, one fish pond and vegetable and fruit garden in Weru Sectoral Police, three fish ponds and vegetable and fruit garden in Bulu Sectoral Police, and the cultivation of 200 quails, ten goats, one fish pond, and vegetable and fruit cultivation.

"For the consistency and sustainability, every Sectoral Police also would involve community youths as the cultivation group to provide them positive activity. Besides, Sectoral Police would also cooperate with and supported by the Fisheries and Agriculture Agency of Sukoharjo regency, and they helped us with fish seeds and feeds", Chief of Departmental Police said.
