Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, accompanied by the Chief Deputy of Banten Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Ery Nursatari, Head of the National Narcotics Agency of Banten Province and the High-Rank Executives of the Banten Regional Police received a Recess of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia at the Multipurpose Hall of the Banten Regional Police on Tuesday (21/12/21).

The visit of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia was led by Chair Deputy of Commission III H. Desmond Junaidi Mahesa, accompanied by council members present, including I Wayan Sudirta, Bimantoro Rahmat Muhajirin, Agung Budi Santoso, Didik Mukrianto, Rano Alfath and Dimyati Natakusumah.

During his visit, Desmond Junaidi Mahesa revealed that this visit was carried out to establish coordination and communication between the Banten Regional Police and Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia and absorb the aspirations of the Banten Regional Police operational constraints in carrying out the Banten Regional Police's activities.

"This visit is not for monitoring purposes, but for gathering while listening to suggestions and absorbing aspirations and input from the Banten Regional Police, then these problems will be scheduled and submitted to the Chief of Indonesian National Police," said Desmond.

Desmond Junaidi Mahesa said the problems were raised.

"One example is that the Tangerang Regency area is partly under the jurisdiction of the Banten Regional Police and partly under the jurisdiction of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police. So this needs to be discussed with the Assistant to the Chief of the Indonesian National Police for General Planning and Budgeting for the Indonesian National Police to find a solution, and the Chief of Indonesian National Police as the former Chief of Banten Regional Police knows this problem," he said.

Furthermore, the Chairman Deputy of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia appreciated the actions taken by the Directorate of Drugs at the Banten Regional Police and the Banten Province National Narcotics Agency.

"I appreciate the performance of Directorate of Drugs at the Banten Regional Police, which prioritizes prevention rather than prosecution, by finding out the source of the illicit goods from outside or produced in the Banten area if the goods come from outside so that they are prevented from entering the Banten area. As a result, prevention of overcapacity in prisons reflects decreasing enforcement, not increasing. Thus preventive measures can be said to be successful," said Desmon.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Banten Regional Police conveyed his aspirations and proposals regarding the number of Banten Regional Police personnel, which is still far from ideal, to receive support in increasing the budget for the recruitment of Banten Regional Police personnel.

"I hope that with the support from Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, we can solve problems related to the shortage of personnel because the Banten Regional Police have not yet reached the ideal number of personnel," said the Chief of Banten Regional Police.

Then, the Chief of Banten Regional Police explained the problem of the lack of budget for capital expenditure related to the maintenance and construction of the Sectoral Police building, including the official house that was damaged or unfit.

Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Dimyati Natakusumah, in this activity, said that the Banten Regional Police should prepare security ahead of Christmas 2021 and New Year's 2022 as well as possible. "I hope that the Banten Regional Police can carry out security for Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 as much as possible so that it can provide a safe and conducive public order and safety situation," said Dimyati Natakusumah.

In the end, Dimyati Natakusumah asked the Banten Regional Police to immediately respond to the public's reaction on social media, not to become a polemic that could potentially become a disturbance for public order and safety.
