"In addition to gatherings, I also checked in Sukabumi City regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. I checked the Community Activity Restrictions in this village (Cisarua Village). It's extraordinary. The data is good, the handling is also good. Including the infrastructure that has been prepared," explained The Regional Police Chief.
The Regional Police Chief explained that the key to handling COVID-19 is the strict application of health protocols. Including applying 3T Testing Tracing Treatment
"In Sukabumi City, it was explained earlier, tracing officers from the Community Health Center were there, then the National Armed Forces and National Police were also ready. Including from volunteers," he said.
Another effort that is not less important is vaccination. In Sukabumi City, said the Kapolda, every health facility is able to provide vaccinations for an average of 200-300 people.
"I'm sure, when the vaccine is in adequate supply, all people will get it. The infrastructure is ready. If all Community Health Centers in West Java served that much, the target for herd immunity could be achieved," explained the Regional Polcie Chief.
In West Java, continued the Regional Police Chief, the target to achieve herd immunity is 37 million peoples. So far, only 11 million peoples have been vaccinated.
"There are still around 26 million peoples left by the end of December this year. It means that a day there are 456,000 peoples who must be vaccinated in West Java to achieve herd immunity by the end of December. The infrastructure is the health center which is the backbone. Then vaccination centers are formed National Armed Forces, National Police, volunteers, and others. Hopefully this can be achieved," concluded the Regional Police Chief.
