Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesia National Police enhances their effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, especially in red zone areas. Particularly the Traffic Security Corps of Indonesia National Police, they intensify monitoring the check points as way to support Micro PPKM (restriction on community activity).

Head of Traffic Security Corps of Indonesia National Police, Police Inspector General Istiono, said the checkpoint was maximized, by first starting monitoring community activities, healing those exposed to the antigen swab test and the Covid-19 vaccination process.

This effort received appreciation from the Chairperson of the United Muslim Millennial (MMB) Khairul Anam. He thinks the steps taken by the Traffic Security Corps of Indonesia National Police as a way to prevent the spread of Covid-19 were consistent.

"We should give extraordinary appreciation to the Police in general, especially the Traffic Security Corps of Indonesia National Police and its officers to take steps to prevent and overcome Covid-19, this is proven by establishing several check points in red zones area," he explained.

Anam said the existence of checkpoints was very helpful in accelerating the handling of Covid-19 healing, especially through policy innovations such as turning a mobile SIM (driving licence) car into a mobile antigen swab car. So far there are 3 mobile SIM cars that have been changed, and this is really cool.

"I am amazed at the alert of the Traffic Security Corps ranks in carrying out instructions from President Jokowi's and the Chief of Indonesia National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. In the field, the Traffic Security Corps are always on standby," he said.

Previously, the head of Traffic Security Corps said in the jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, there are 5 check points to monitor the tightening of community mobilization, especially those who are in the Covid-19 red zone. The checkpoint is also part of the effort to accelerate the handling of Covid-19.

"At Metro Regional Police, there are five checkpoints to monitor the tightening and mobilization of the community and at the same time to accelerate the monitoring of the healing of people affected by Covid-19, especially in the red zone and orange zone," he explained.
