Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Poso. Central Sulawesi Regional Police discovered three identities from bodies from the wanted list of people of Mujahidin Indonesian Timur (MIT). One of them is Qatar, one of MIT's leaders.
"We just received the results of the DNA test from three bodies of MIT members in the wanted list who are dead at Tokasa mountain, Tanalanto village, Parigi Moutong regency, on July 2021", Chief of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rakhman Baso said in the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Headquarter on Wednesday (0408/21).
Chief of Central Sulawesi Regional Police said that three bodies of the MIT members named Qatar, Rukli, and Ambo.
He explained that the deceased terrorists are closely related to a series of violence causing four civilian casualties in Lembantongoa village, Sigi regency, on November 27, 2020, and the killing of four coffee farmers of Kalemangi villagers, Poso regency, on May 11, 2021.
"We analyse that sometimes they divided into several groups—for example, one group led by Ali Kalora, another group led by Qatar, et cetera. The one who did most violence is the Qatar-led group", Police Inspector General Abdul Rakhman Baso explained.
Armed Forces-Police is still chasing the six remaining people from the group who are still in the mountains of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi regencies.
