Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. Central Kalimantan Regional Police and Military Resort Commander 102 Panju are targeting 3,500 Merdeka vaccinations. Merdeka vaccination is carried out in every house of worship in Central Kalimantan Province. Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police's Medical and Health division, Pol. Grand Commissioner Danang Pamudji said that previously the free vaccine program had a quota of 2,500 and now it has 1,000 doses of one and two.
"This Merdeka vaccination program continues to be boosted to increase herd immunity or our community's immunity, amid the COVID-19 pandemic as it is today," he explained.
Currently, Central Kalimantan is in the second position in accelerating vaccination in Indonesia. Even so, the Central Kalimantan Police continue to carry out vaccinations in the Central Kalimantan area, so that all people can be vaccinated according to government regulations. The vaccine targets in Palangkaraya City are centered at the Darussalam Mosque, namely school children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
"As for Central Kalimantan, around 8,000 peoples have been vaccinated in two days. For Central Kalimantan, the vaccine achievement has reached 80% and we will continue to increase it until it reaches 100%," he explained.
The mass vaccination carried out by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police and in collaboration with the 102 Panju Panjung military and the Darussalam Mosque administrators went safely and smoothly. Even the committee that was already at each of its posts also always directed people who wanted to do the vaccine, so that there were no crowds in the activity.
In this activity, people who want to get vaccinated are also required to follow health protocol rules such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands, and so on.
"Our personnel strictly maintain that the community obeys the process that has been implemented so that later there will be no new clusters," he concluded.
