As a form of care from the flood disaster in Katingan regency, Central Kalimantan Regional Police departs some personnel joined in Search and Rescue team (SAR) at the lobby of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarter, Tjilik Riwut street Km. 1, Palangka Raya city, on Friday (03/09/2021).
The departure ceremony was led by Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, represented by the Deputy Chief, Police Brigadier General Ida Oetari Poernamasasi.
"This humanitarian operation is a true aid distribution action. The activities planned are assisting evacuation and social and health service", Deputy Chief of Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, Regional Superintendent of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Iman Prijantoro, stated that Police had provided 250 basic necessities packages containing rice, mineral water, instant noodle, and cooking oil. The package would be distributed to the flood victims in the Katingan regency.
"In accordance to the verbal commands from the Chief of Regional Police, the personnel departing (for Katingan regency) are one humanitarian operation from the Traffic Directorate, Mobile Brigade Unit, Samapta Directorate, and Medicine and Health Agency of Central Kalimantan Regional Police. So no one works alone", Regional Superintendent said.
At the end of the event, Regional Superintendent said that besides distributing social aids, Police would also provide health services to people affected by the flood and distributing face masks to avoid Covid-19 transmission.
"This activity is an implementation towards Presisi Police in supporting National Economic Recovery", Regional Superintendent concluded.
