Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya.Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo reviewed the implementation of free mass vaccination with community leaders, religious leaders and traditional leaders, which was held to commemorate the 0-14th Anniversary of the Central Kalimantan Dayak Customary Council and the 59th Anniversary of TVRI Central Kalimantan. The activity was carried out at the Betang Hapakat House, RTA street Milono km 4, Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan.
To note, the national vaccination program for the prevention of Covid-19 has been intensively carried out by the Government since January 2021. This action is a form of fulfilling the state's obligation to fulfill and protect the right to health of the people. The process of implementing vaccination must be monitored by various parties and become a common concern so as not to violate human rights principles.
Currently, Central Kalimantan's vaccination achievement has reached 43%. With various efforts to maximise the implementation of vaccinations, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief is optimistic that by next October, all people will be vaccinated.
"Vaccination is not only here, but also carried out throughout Central Kalimantan and throughout Indonesia, because of our commitment as soon as the vaccine has been distributed to Central Kalimantan, we will immediately carry out the injection. In October if our vaccine runs smoothly, I am sure that the people of Central Kalimantan have been injected 100%. there are obstacles in the distribution of vaccines, so we are targeting 80% of the community to have been vaccinated," explained the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.
For this reason, the Regional Police Chief asked all religious, traditional and community leaders to provide education to the public so that they can continue to apply the sticky health protocol even though they have been vaccinated.
"In general, the spread of COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan has started to slow down, but the risk rate in Central Kalimantan is still above the national average," concluded the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.
