In commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police carried out visits to social welfare institutions, one of which was the Tresna Werda Sinta Rangkang Social Home, Jalan Wisata, Bukit Batu District, Palangka Raya City. The activity was led directly by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General Pol. Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, several key officials of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police and also attended by the Secretary of the Public Works Service, Social Service, Housing Service and Representatives of Bank Indonesia and the Central Kalimantan branch of Bank Mandiri.
On that occasion, the Reigional Police Chief directly handed over assistance in the form of packages of basic necessities, packages of daily necessities and 200 packages of medicines.
The Regional Police Chief said that this activity was carried out as a form of concern and concern for the elderly who were affected by Covid-19, hopefully with an event like this, the friendship will be maintained and become an example for all of us," the Regional Police Chief appealed.
Central Kalimantan Regional Police's Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner K. Eko Saputro, added that at the end of the activity, in addition to handing over assistance to the caretaker of the social institution, the Chief of Regional Police and his entourage also bought handicrafts from the fostered residents of the social institution.
"This is a form of appreciation to the fostered residents of the social institution, because the results of their fine handicrafts," he explained.
