inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police will assist in handling the Covid-19 case in the Demak Regency area, so that it does not expand and can be suppressed. The police will take the same effort when helping with the handling of the Covid-19 case in Kudus, so that policies can be more optimal to suppress the spread of the Corona virus.

Central Java Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi said the spread and transmission of positive cases of Covid-19 in the Kudus and surrounding areas including Demak was still increasing, so massive efforts were needed to reduce the number of cases of Corona virus transmission. He made the statement when giving a briefing to the main officials of the Central Java Regional Police.

The Regional Police Chief explained that the handling of positive cases of Covid-19 in Demak was almost the same as when the police took part in handling the increase in positive cases in Kudus, namely by informing the 5M movement, and increasing the 3T movement as a follow-up effort. According to the Regional Police Chief, his party will provide special directions and orders to Security and Public Order in the Demak Police area to optimize the Jogo Tonggo program and the Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities Command Post in their respective working areas.

"Doing assistance to the Demak area. We have carried out Cross Checks in the context of handling preemptive and preventive efforts for Covid-19 in our area. And all of this we use in order to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19 in the Demak area," explained the Regional Police Chief.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Central Java Health Service, Yulianto Prabowo, stated that the handling of Covid-19 in the red zone area around Kudus was in principle almost the same. However, there is a special emphasis on more progressive tracing and testing. Tracing and testing must be faster because it races with the transmission of new variants which are also faster.

"The red zone is not only Kudus, right, but also the surrounding areas such as Pati, Jepara, Demak and Grobogan. It's also red. Indeed, epidemiologically, the zone is a unitary zone that we must be aware of together," he concluded.
