Central Java Regional Police Issues Permit for Persis Solo as the Host of Liga 2

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Semarang. Central Java Regional Police give the green light to the Persis Solo to be the host of the preliminary round of League 2 (Liga 2) of the 2021 season. Unfortunately, Liga 2 must run without spectators.

The signal was stated by the Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, through the Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner M Iqbal Alqudusy, after receiving the application letter from the Persis Solo to held the preliminary of Liga 2.

"It is permitted. Central Java Regional Police supported the commencement of Liga 2 and 3 by considering strict Health Protocols. The matches would be held without spectators, and people should watch from home", the Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Java Regional Police said on Wednesday (22/9/21).

Previously, the Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Java Regional Police stated that Persis Solo had submitted a recommendation application to hold a preliminary round of Liga 2 season 2021 in Manahan Stadium, Solo, starting from September 26 to October 27, 2021. The letter, signed by the Persis Solo secretary, Apriyanto Nugroho, dated September 21, 2021, also mentioned six competing teams.

Besides Persis Solo, other competing teams are PSG Pati, Persijap Jepara, PSCS Cilacap, PS Hizbul Wathan, and PSIM Yogyakarta.

Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Java Regional Police added that the Chief of Central Java Regional Police had met the Central Java Provincial Association Administration of Indonesian Football Association and the operator of Liga 3 of Central Java in his office on Tuesday (21/9/21). During the meeting, five teams are bidding as the host of Liga 3 of Central Java: PPSM Magelang, Persitema Temanggung, Persip Kota Pekalongan, PSIP Pemalang, and Persik Kendal.

"The kick-off of Liga 3 of Central Java would commence on October 24. There would be 26 teams registering as competitors. We from the Central Java Regional Police supports the competition. However, just like Liga 1 and Liga 2, there would be no spectators on Liga 3 to anticipate Covid-19 transmission that still ravages Indonesia", Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Java Regional Police said.
