Central Java Regional Police Focusses on 4 Regions with the Highest Covid-19 Cases

inp.polri.go.id. – Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police will prioritize the handling of Covid-19 in four regencies/cities in the Central Java region. The four areas are, Kudus, Demak, Sragen and Semarang.


“Of the 14 districts in Central Java that are in the red zone, we focus on three districts and one city. They are Kudus, Demak, Sragen and Semarang. This is done because the active cases in the three regions are already above 600 to 700," the Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector GeneralAhmad Luthfi, explained Wednesday (06/16).


The Chief of Central Java Regional Police mentioned the spread of Covid-19 in Central Java began with syawalan celebration, religious pilgrimages and visits to tourist attractions after the Eid holiday.


"This is what triggered the spread of Covid-19 in Central Java, until it spread to Kudus Regency," the Chief of Central Java Regional Police explained.


In handling Covid-19 in Central Java, continued the Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Contingency Management has been carried out for all Resort Police. Specifically for handling Covid-19 in Kudus Regency, the Central Java Regional Police together with the Central Java Provincial Government, have prepared 800 rooms in the Boyolali Haji Donohudan Dormitory for Patient-Centered Isolation from Kudus.


In addition, other places are also prepared. They are Rusunawa (Flat), King Hotel, Training Center in Semarang and so on.


"From the points for self-isolation, 1,700 rooms are available. We have started gradually transporting people with confirmed Covid-19 to the isolation locations," the Chief of Central Java Regional Police continued.


Regarding vaccination, the Central Java Regional Police continue to carry out mass vaccinations. Even the Central Java Regional Police have deployed 750 health workers at the location of the mass vaccination. "I have ordered all the main officers of Central Java Regional Police to come directly to
Kudus," he said.


The Chief of Central Java Regional police chief also advised the people to always wear masks and avoid crowds. What can be done is to localize, control and limit.


"Wear mask, keep distancing, wash your hands and also avoid crowds," he concluded.
