Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police ordered all levels of the Sector Police to take steps to strengthen food for the community amid the Covid-19 pandemic to ease the burden on people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi said that the acceleration of strengthening food security carried out by the government could be followed up by ranks at the police station to help the community. He made the statement while sowing fish seeds at Polokarto Sector Police in Sukoharjo Regency.
The Central Java Regional Police Chief explained that every police station in the ranks by cooperating with youth groups or elements of the surrounding community can carry out activities to strengthen food security. Not only sowing fish seeds in ponds but also planting vegetables that are often needed by the community.
According to the Two-Star General, this effort will create a sense of concern in the body of National Police members to the surrounding community. It will be able to improve the economy of the surrounding community.
“Sector Police, as the basis for early detection, have made efforts by carrying out activities. It could be with (sowing) fish seeds, it could be with vegetables, it could be laying hens, and so on according to the land owned by the police station itself. The results will be given to the local community. Of course, this is a form of social bonding from members of the National Police to the community," said Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Lutfi.
Meanwhile, Sukoharjo Resort Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Wahyu Nugroho Setyawan, explained that his party was indeed intensifying the Tangguh Village food security program. Namely the empowerment of fish ponds, vegetable and fruit fields, and animal husbandry.
"For the consistency and sustainability of this program, the ranks of the Sector Police collaborate with youth youths who are directly involved. So, this activity also provides a positive vehicle for the surrounding youth," said the Sukoharjo Resort police Chief.
