Central Java Regional Police and PKC PMII Held Vaccination Event at STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton Campus

Central Java Regional Police, with Magelang Departmental Police and Central Java Branch Coordinator Administration of Islamic Students Movement (PKC PMII), held a vaccination using the Sinovac vaccine. The first stage vaccination was help in STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton Campus in Meteseh hamlet, Sidoagung village, Tempuran district, Magelang regency.

The first stage vaccination has been held for two days on Thursday and Friday (July 29-30, 2021), from 09.30 to 13.30 local time. This vaccination targeted 500 people for two days, meaning that it targeted 250 people each day. The second stage of vaccination would be conducted this late August.

The vaccination event was attended by the Director of Intelligence and Security of Central Java Regional Police, represented by Chief of Unit 5 Subdirectorate 3, Police Commissioner Nurcholis; Assistant of Unit 5 of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Central Java Regional Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Suprijanto; Commissioned Officer of Health Affairs of the Polyclinic of Magelang Departmental Police, Police Inspector 1st Class Sapto; Doctor of Berkah Sehat Clinic of Magelang Departmental Police, dr Nurkholis; Chairman of Magelang Branch of PMII, Yoga Heri; Chief of Tempuran Sectoral Police, represented by the Chief Unit of Intelligence and Security, Police Sub-Inspector 1st Class Aris Listiyanto; Rector of STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton, Ahmad Fuad Hasim, and Chairman of PMII Jogo Rekso of STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton, Sofan Sauri.

By implementing tightened Health Protocols, the vaccination participants enthusiastically attend the event. They queued orderly, wore their masks, and kept their distances. The vaccination participants came from the administrators of Magelang Regency Branch of PMII, students of the STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton, administrators of Autonomous Organisations of Magelang Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (Syuriah NU, Ansor, Banser, Rijalu Ansor, Lazis NU, Pagar Nusa, Fatayat, Muslimat, IPNU, and IPPNU), rector/lecturers/staffs/employees of STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton, administrators and santri of API Interpretership STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton Islamic Boarding School, managers and employees of Griya Dahar Brambang Salam STAIA Al-Husain Syyubanul Wahton Restaurant, Mata Air, and Magelang Branch of PMII Alumni.

"We deeply thanked the National Police, especially from Central Java Regional Police and Magelang Departmental Police for the cooperation so that the vaccination event could run smoothly", Anto Prima Atmaja, Chairman of PKC PMII of Central Java, said.

Anto said that Magelang Regency becomes the vaccination priority based on Central Java vaccination mapping. Many people have been vaccinated in Eastern Central Java Northern Coast, such as Jepara, Kudus, and Pati. Other regions such as Cilacap, Brebes, Tegal, Pekalongan, Salatiga, and Solo, experienced many people being vaccinated as well. "Meanwhile, in Kedu region, not many people have been vaccinated so that the vaccination would be focused in Magelang", Anto Prima Atmaja said.

The chairman of PKC PMII of Central Java also explained that there is a demand for 1,200 people. However, due to certain limitations, only 500 doses are available. He also hopes that the government could accelerate the vaccination so the vaccine could be easily accessed by the public/

"We appeal all students and public elements to success the vaccination acceleration programme", Anto said.

Besides, the chairman of PKC PMII of Central Java also encourages all walks of life to obey and implement PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement) policies imposed by the government to avoid Coronavirus transmission.

"Let's success the PPKM policies as the effort against Covid-19 transmission", he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Intelligence and Security of Central Java Regional Police, represented by Chief of Unit 5 Subdirectorate 3, Police Commissioner Nurcholis, said that, in relation to vaccination, the Managing Committee of PMII asked for 1,200 doses. However, only 500 doses are available. He also said that the vaccine used in this event is the vaccine from Sinovac.

"We conducted the first time in Magelang the vaccination event with PKC PMII. For future events, it is up to them. Central Java Branch of PMII would determine later. We from Central Java Regional Police only facilitate their demand. The medical workers are from Magelang Departmental Police", he said.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Attendant Supriyanto, as the Chief Unit of Intelligence and Security of Magelang Departmental Police, explained that the vaccine used in the event is the Sinovac. "From the beginning, Magelang Departmental Police used Sinovac vaccine, distributed from the Provincial Health Agency. We followed up request from Managing Committee of PMII in Jakarta to the Chief of National Police, which then followed up by Chief of Central Java Regional Police and later to Magelang Departmental Police in conducting this event", he said.

He added that the vaccinators came from the Polyclinic of Magelang Departmental Police. The second vaccination is scheduled for late August in the STAIA Subhanul Watthon or Magelang Departmental Police, following the previous decision.
