Central Java Police Prepare 320,000 Vaccine Doses for Islamic Boarding School Students and a Number of Places of Worship

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Batang. The Central Java Regional Police are currently preparing 320 thousand doses of phase one vaccine for students and visitors to places of worship. This was stated by the Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, while visiting Al Munawwir Islamic Boarding School in Gringsing, Batang Regency, Monday (09/06/2021).

The Regional Police Chief was present with a number of key officials from the Central Java Regional Police and was greeted by Regional Leadership Coordination Forum Batang and the caretaker of Al Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Solikhin Shihab.

In this activity, the students and vaccinators seemed enthusiastic about the presence of the Regional Police Chief and had a short dialogue with him. The daily target for vaccination is 600 people.

“However, today it is the students of Al Munawir Islamic Boarding School who have vaccinated 300 people. The rest will be continued tomorrow, "said one officer.

Apart from the Al Munawir Islamic Boarding School, the vaccination targets are centered on 15 Islamic boarding schools and a number of places of worship," explained the Regional Police Chief.

“For these two days in Central Java, we focus on vaccination in 15 Islamic boarding schools, 5 monasteries, 5 temples and 5 churches. All of them are spread over 32 points,” said the Regional Police Chief.

Asked about the reasons why Islamic boarding schools and places of worship were targeted for vaccination activities, the Regional Police Chief stated that the government hopes that all mass concentration points and community groups can be reached by vaccination activities.

"So that herd immunity can be achieved in all levels of society," said the Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief also expressed his gratitude for the significant reduction in the transmission of COVID-19. However, the public is advised to remain vigilant and obey health protocols.

“Vaccination activities will continue to be encouraged. If this effort is added to the community's discipline in complying with the health protocol, I am sure that COVID-19 can drop drastically soon," said the Regional Police Chief optimistically.
