Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metro Police Drug Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) managed to arrest nine drug dealers of the Malaysian type of methamphetamine network in two different areas, namely on August 19, 2021 in Pulogadung and on September 3, 2021.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Setyo Koes Heryanto, revealed that two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were recovered from the dealers' hands.
"We discovered the distribution of methamphetamine from two TKP (crime scene) from the same network. So, we secured the dealer, it was indicated that this was a network from Malaysia," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief at a press conference at the Central Jakarta Police Headquarters, Wednesday (09/15/21).
Armed with information received from the public, he continued, the police then conducted a search. From the investigation, it was found that the methapetamine came from a dealer with the initials MW alias B. The police also arrested MW at his home on Husin street, Susukan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.
From the results of the search, the police confiscated a plastic bag of 975.8 grams of methamphetamine, a cell phone, and a meth suction device or bong. The police then developed their findings to target other cities. From the results of the development, the police investigated eight other people who lived in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta.
The eight dealers were arrested at a boarding house on Jalan Balai Rakyat, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, with evidence of methamphetamine ready to be circulated.
"Initially the investigation was from Central Jakarta, then we developed it, and then secured the airport in two locations in East Jakarta. First in Ciracas, and second in Pulogadung," said the Deputy Chief of the Central Jakarta Metro Police.
For his actions, the eight suspects were subject to Articles 112 and 114 of the Criminal Code with threats of capital punishment, life imprisonment, or a minimum sentence of six years.
