Celebrating Bhayangkara Day, Aceh Regional Police Held Public Health Service of Free Cleft Lip Surgery

In celebrating Bhayangkara Day, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Police Health and Medicine Service of Indonesian National Police, Aceh Regional Police held Public Health Service in the form of cleft lip surgery conducted in Bhayangkara Hospital, Banda Aceh, Saturday (12/6/2021).

Regional Superintendent of Aceh Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Marzuki Ali Basyah, stated that the cleft lip and palate surgery in this Public Health Service event are free of charge in celebrating Bhayangkara Day on July 1, which also coincides with the anniversary of the Police Health and Medicine Service of Indonesian National Police.

The Middle Officer also stated that free surgery is one form of caring from the Indonesian National Police and the commitment of Aceh Regional Police in paying attention to the public and serves as proof that Police always exist and beneficial for the community.

Choosing harelip surgery as an activity of the day, continued by Regional Superintendent, is deemed to provide outstanding benefit for the public because it can directly reach the people, and the surgery could boost confidence in its patients.

"This cleft lip and palate surgery event affect not only the patients but also their parents and families because this surgery could boost patients' confidence", Regional Superintendent of Aceh Regional Police said.

Regional Superintendent hopes that people can attend the Police's Public Health Service enthusiastically, and he also hopes that this event could be beneficial, specifically to those who will undergo surgery.

The surgery is a form of cooperation between the Police and organisations such as Smile Train Indonesia Foundation and PERAPI.
