Oksibil – On August 17, 2021, from 09.00 to 10.19 local time, the local governments of Pegunungan Bintang region of Papua held the national flag-raising ceremony. The ceremony was held at the front yard of the regent's office of Pegunungan Bintang regent and attended by:

At the end of the ceremony, Insos Uropkulin, a student of YPPPK Vocational School (Catholic School Education Foundation) of Oksibil and the flag bearer, said that she feels proud when interviewed because she was trusted to bear the red-and-white flag.
"As a Papuan native, I feel proud because of the trust given to me in bearing the national flag and, Thank God; everything went well and smooth. This is a pride for my family and me", Insos Uropkulin said.
"In the future, I want to be a policewoman personnel, so I have to work hard to achieve my dream", she continued.
The ceremony of Indonesia's independence day on August 17, 2021, in Pegunungan Bintang regency went well, and the high enthusiasm is reflected in the face of the public in assisting Armed Forces-Police to enable a sense of safety in Pegunungan Bintang regent.
