As a form of care to the people in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the Warung Jumat team of Banten Regional Police distributed tens of basic necessities packages to people in the Ciwaru area of Banjar Agung subdistrict, Cipocok district, Serang City, on Friday (03/09/2021).
Warung Jumat team of Banten Regional Police is one of the priority programmes of Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, which conduct its activity every Friday. The team is now led by Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Edy Sumardi, and accompanied by Chief of Public Information Sub-agency of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Meriyadi and Chief of Partnership Affairs of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Commissioner Attendant E Yudiana.
When being met on location, Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Edy Sumardi, stated that the Warung Jumat activity is the social service and a form of care from Banten Regional Police to the public.
"Today, we conduct one of the priority programmes of the Chief of Banten Regional Police, the Warung Jumat (Friday Street Vendors). This activity is our form of care and empathy to human beings", Police Grand Commissioner Edy Sumardi said.
Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police stated that the Warung Jumat team of Banten Regional Police distributed 30 basic necessities packages and rice to people in the Ciwaru area, Banjar Agung subdistrict, Cipocok district, Serang city.
Furthermore, the Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police hoped that Warung Jumat could benefit the public. "I hope this activity could benefit the public, mainly in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Many of our brothers and sisters being affected", Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police said.
Lastly, the Director of Vital Objects Security of Banten Regional Police encouraged all people to help other people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Taufik, Head of Neighbourhood Association 06 of Ciwaru, thanked and appreciated Warung Jumat of Banten Regional Police.
"This is a positive activity. I, as the head of this Neighbourhood Association, would like to say thank you. And I, representing all people here, delivered the highest appreciation towards the care of Banten Regional Police in distributing aids to people in need due to Covid-19. I hope everything done by the gentlemen is rewarded by God", he concluded.
