The flood disaster that still hit some areas of Katingan regency, made the Central Kalimantan Regional Police to send a Rescue Team ( SAR ) to distribute 250 food packages to the communities around the Religious Park, Hurung Village and Talian Kereng Village, Katingan Downstream Subdistrict Office, Katingan Regency.
Deputy Chief of Police Brigadier General Pol. Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, released the Central Kalimantan Police Rescue Team ( SAR ) from the Head of the Director of Samapta Road Tjilik Riwut Km 6.5 Palangka Raya City, Sunday (08/29/2021).
The release of the Rescue Team ( SAR ), consisting of National Armed Forces/National Police personnel, was attended by the Operational Chief Bureau of the Central Kalimantan Regiona; Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Andreas Wayan Wicaksono, and the main official from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police.
In the same place, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner K. Eko Saputro, explained that the task of the Rescue Team, in addition to carrying out evacuations using Rescue Team equipment, the team that was dispatched this time would also carry out social services and health services.
"Hopefully with the presence of the Rescue Team, people affected by the flood disaster can be helped, both in terms of health, safety and can ease the burden on the community in meeting their daily basic needs," said Pol. Grand Commissioner K. Eko Saputro.
