Battalion B Pioneer of North Sumatra Mobile Brigade Assists Evacuation and Distributes Aid for Flood Victims

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. Battalion B Pioneer Mobile Brigade Unit of North Sumatra Regional Police led by Battalion Commander B Pioneer, Police Commissioner Endra Budianto went to the location for the evacuation process and distributed aid to flood victims.



The high rainfall that hit Batubara Regency caused thousands of houses in four sub-districts in Batubara Regency to be flooded. Floods occurred in 31 villages in four sub-districts, namely Sei Balai, Nibung Hangus, Datuk Tanah Datar, and Talawi. Disaster response.



"We immediately went to the disaster site and carried out the process of evacuation, cleaning and distributing aid to the community," explained Battalion Commander H, the Police Commissioner

Also attending the event was the Coal Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner H. Ikhwan Lubis,, Military Area 05/Tanjung Tiram, Captain Inf. Salam Rambe, Regional Disaster Management Agency of Batubara Regency, Sei Balai Subdistrict Head, Sido Mulyo Village Head, Community Leaders and Traditional Leaders.



Regional Disaster Management Agency Coal has not detailed the material losses caused by the flood. Meanwhile, flooding in several locations began to recede. While the cause of flooding is not only because of high rainfall. But it also comes from the flood of shipments in the upstream area of the Asahan River. Currently the Coal Regional Disaster Management Agency has also tried to help the victims whose houses were flooded by providing clean water and logistical needs.



"This is a form of Mobile Brigade service for the community by being present and going directly to the community in accordance with the motto of the National police Mobile Brigade Jiwa Ragaku for Humanity which is ready to help the community whenever and wherever they are. Acting Head of the Coal Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), M Saiban Efendi Harahap said, from Sunday (08/15) to Tuesday (08/15) the rainfall in the area was high, a total of 5,806 housing units were affected," he concluded.
