The Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the National Police (Polri) Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) is currently still conducting an inquiry related to the alleged fraud and gambling case of Binomo on Monday (14/2/2022).
Head of the Police Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas), Inspector General (Irjen) Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Si., M.M., explained that they have examined several witnesses and expert witnesses.
"Today we examined witnesses and expert witnesses, and we are still conducting an inquiry,” stated the Kadiv Humas Polri virtually on Monday (14/2/2022).
Kadiv Humas said that currently, the status of the case is still under inquiry. However, if they found any evidence of a legal event or criminal act, the case will then proceed to the investigation phase.
"The status of the case will be elevated if the legal event has been proven. When that happened the case will then proceed from inquiry to an investigation," he said.
The former Police Chief of Central Java Police added that if the case proceeds to the investigation phase, the police will again conduct a case title to determine the suspect in the case.
"If it proceeds to the investigation, the case will be held again by a new team to formulate the criminal case and the suspects related to the incident," concluded the Two-Star General.
