Banten Regional Police with PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera Establish Cooperation in the Security Sector

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police entered into a Cooperation Agreement with PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS) regarding the Implementation of Security in the work environment of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera.

The cooperation agreement, which was carried out in the Crisis Center Room of the Banten Regional Police by implementing the Health Protocol, was led directly by the Chief of Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, with the CEO of Krakatau International Port, Akbar Djohan, Thursday (2/9/21).

The Chief of Banten Regional Police said that this cooperation agreement was a manifestation of the commitment between the Banten Regional Police and PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera.

"The Chief of Banten Regional Police together with PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera entered into a cooperation agreement, where this agreement is our commitment to cooperate in the field of asset security and law enforcement within PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera," said the Chief of Banten Regional Police.

"This agreement has a very strategic meaning, because in addition to supporting government policies and national development in the context of national economic recovery. This agreement is also an effort to strengthen the maintenance of Community Security and Order by establishing partnerships and strengthening police synergies,” continued the Chief of Banten Regional Police.

The Chief of Banten Regional Police also added, in this cooperation agreement, for the implementation of good security in the work environment of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera.

"The Chief of Banten Regional Police hopes that the parties can immediately follow up this agreement by identifying potential disturbances, determining the configuration of security standards and conducting an audit of the security management system. Thus, it is hoped that all clauses in this agreement can be implemented properly," concluded the Chief of Banten Regional Polic.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Krakatau International Port, Akbar Djohan, stated that this cooperation agreement aims to provide security at the Port of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera.

"Today, the cooperation agreement between PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera and the Chief of Banten Regional Polic has been implemented to provide added value to our port. We believe that today's challenges and threats are an absolute must for us to raise the level of security and safety. Both the security of the anchored ship and its crew and cargo," he said.

"Moreover, the port of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera is in a very strategic location in the Sunda Strait, so that through this agreement we can prevent threats that can occur, such as terrorist threats and smuggling at the port. And in this Memorandum of understanding (MoU), we ask for guidance from the Banten Police to be able to provide standard Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on how to fit a vital object, namely our ports, which are state assets," he concluded.
