"They create an account in one of the e-commerce marketplaces as if they sell certain products and create fictitious buyers with cashback promos and sellers and buyers are syndicated," concluded the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation.

The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation continued, "This was done by the perpetrators to get cashback points, the points earned were collected to be exchanged for points with real products, as for the goods sent by the perpetrators with fictitious buyers, the goods did not match what they were selling, such as making sales. cellphone, but the biscuit box was sent in a package so that it seemed that the transaction was running normally".

Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation also said that the perpetrators had been carrying out their actions for one year. "The perpetrators have been carrying out their actions for a year, but the biggest and most frequent transactions have occurred in the last 4 months. As a result of these actions, e-commerce companies have suffered losses of more than IDR 400 million, but further audits are still being carried out on the case. this," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, added that currently the perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Banten Regional Police.

"The four perpetrators and evidence of dozens of units of mobile phones of various brands and types, laptops and printers, various savings books and ATM cards, electronic evidence in the form of information and electronic transactions from accounts made by the perpetrators, various order packages that do not match real conditions and others have secured at the Banten Regional Police," explained Head of PR.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 115 of Law No. 7 of 2014 concerning trade and Article 51 of Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning ITE with a threat of 12 years in prison and a fine of 12 billion.
