The Head of Public Relations Division of the Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, said that the security for the Village Head Election (Pilkades) would be carried out in Serang Regency in 144 villages spread over 29 sub-districts 1,444 polling stations.
It was informed that the Serang Departemental Police were 95 villages from 17 sub-districts with 814 Voting place (TPS), Serang City Departemental Police were 22 villages from 7 sub-districts with 184 Voting place (TPS), and the Cilegon Departemental Police was 27 villages from 5 sub-districts with 197 Voting place (TPS) with a wide area range.
"On the attention of the Chief of Banten Regional Police that personnel carrying out security at Voting place (TPS) are not allowed to carry firearms, to secure according to applicable regulations," explained Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, Thursday (28/10/21).
In addition, the Head of Public Relations Division of the Banten Regional Police, each Voting place (TPS) to provide vaccine booth services and implement health protocol in a disciplined manner so that the Village Head Election (Pilkades) does not cause new clusters of Covid-19 and the Chief of Departemental Police to follow weather developments from the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Council (BMKG) so that they are prepared for disasters by compiling and simulating contingency plans.
"The committee is asked to provide health protocol facilities such as places to wash hands, masks and plastic gloves so that there are no new clusters of Covid-19 in the Village Head Election (Pilkades) of Serang Regency," said the Banten Regional Police Intermediate Officer.
Indonesian National Police personnel in securing Voting place (TPS) were 1,276 people from Serang Departemental Police, Serang City Departemental Police, Cilegon Departemental Police and personnel assistance from the Banten Regional Police 480 mobile personnel. In addition to Indonesian National Police personnel, there are 2,444 Community Protection personnel with an assignment pattern of 1 Voting place (TPS) guarded by 2 Community Protection
