Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Pangkal Pinang. Chief of Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Anang Syarif Hidayat, said he would control the illegal mining of Teluk Kelabat Dalam.
He emphasized this during a meeting with Regional Leader Communication Forum (Forkompimda) of Bangka Belitung, West Bangka Regency and Bangka Induk, in Parittiga District, West Bangka, Monday (08/02/21).
Chief of Bangka Belitung Regional Police said in Kelabat Dalam Waters there are several IUPs (Mining Business Permits), and only one company can operate in accordance with AMDAL (Environmental Impact Analysis).
“Here there is a tin IUP, here is a small IUP for PT Lautan Sarana Nandiri (LSM), which is being carried out by PT LSM, it is legal, there are legal representatives. As for the one at PT Timah, I just called the President Director of PT Timah in Muntok, it didn't issue an SPK, meaning it's illegal," Director of Air and Water Police Corps of Security Maintenance Agency of Indonesia National Police explained.
However, even though PT LSM has obtained permit, the two star general said he would conduct an inspection regarding number and area according to the AMDAL they have.
"What we need to check is how many pontoons are employed by PT Lautan Sarana Mandiri in accordance with the AMDAL, the two boundaries of which are. If they exceed the AMDAL, or exceed their territory, it is violation," the 1998 Academy of Indonesia Armed Forces graduate said.
Chief of Bangka Belitung Regional Police advised illegal miners to immediately pull the pontoons away from Kelabat Dalam Bay, before they finish carrying out the second meeting to determine the order to be carried out in the future.
"I urge these illegal miners, I ask those who are in Kelabat Dalam, and they feel they are illegal, has no SPK and no IUP, immediately leave the place or we will take strict action," Police Inspector General Anang Sharif Hidayat said.
