Tribratnews.polri.go.id – Denpasar. Bali Regional Police closely guarded 26,170 vials of AstraZeneca vaccine sent from Jakarta using Garuda Indonesia Airlines GA-402 aircraft arriving at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Syamsi, as Head of Public Affairs Task Force for Safe Operations Nusa Agung II-2021 confirmed the arrival of the vaccine in Bali Province.
"Currently, Astra Zeneca vaccine has been stored in the vaccine storage warehouse belonging to Bali Provincial Health Agency," Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police said.
He also said the escort provided by Bali Regional Police was to expedite and accelerate the travel of the vaccine so it arrived at warehouse on time.
"So the vaccine must be at a certain temperature for the quality is maintained. There is no exaggeration, the vaccine escort is in accordance with SOP," Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police explained.
In addition to providing escort, Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police also said the vaccine storage warehouse was also closely guarded by the police for 24 hours. Mobile Brigade and Directorate of Ssamapta personnels equipped with long-barreled weapons were standby at Bali Provincial Health Agency warehouse.
Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police also mentioned all these vaccines will be given to people who need or have not been vaccinated.
"People should immediately register to get the vaccine," Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police explained.
