Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Semarang. Central Java Regional Police will reinstate traffic insulation to avoid increasing Covid-19 cases in Central Java, which has been decreasing.
The traffic insulation would be in effect on holidays and would start on Sunday in Central Java province's city/regency borders.
Director of Traffic Corps of Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner M Rudy Syafirudin, said that Covid-19 cases in Central Java are decreasing thanks to Micro-scaled and Emergency Community Activity Restriction Enforcement (PPKM).
"I inform that thanks to traffic insulation and PPKM, Thank God, Covid-19 cases in Central Java has decreased", the Police Grand Commissioner M Rudy Syafirudin said on Thursday (26/08/21).
However, the Director of Traffic Corps of Central Java Regional Police advises the people not to be off guard and adhere to Health Protocols. He said that Police would reinstate traffic insulation, mainly on holidays.
"We do not hope this Covid-19 cases to be increased again. We would conduct traffic insulation on holidays such as Saturdays and Mondays", the Middle Officer of Central Java Regional Police said.
On those holidays, there are deemed many people come to Central Java for vacation or visiting relatives.
"We would conduct intensive traffic insulation again, but we would focus on education rather than punishment to all drivers", the Director of Traffic Corps of Central Java Regional Police said.
The drivers would be checked whether they have downloaded PeduliLindungi apps. "If not, we would help them, and we would also check whether they have been vaccinated. We will direct them if they are unvaccinated", he said.
Police Grand Commissioner M Rudy Syafirudin explained that vaccination is the government's programme to ensure all people are vaccinated. In Central Java, all Departmental Police have prepared vaccination outlets that could ease people to get vaccinated.
