Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Jogjakarta. Yogyakarta Regional Police distributed 12 tons of liquid oxygen to number of hospitals in Yogyakarta. The delivery of oxygen is collaboration between Yogyakarta Regional Police and PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia.
Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Police Inspector General Asep Suhendar said the liquid oxygen assistance was given to help the meet of oxygen needs in number areas of Yogyakarta. Up till now, the need of oxygen remains high.
"We provided liquid oxygen assistance to Head of Yogyakarta Provincial Health Agency. It’s 12 tons for hospitals in Yogyakarta," Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police in his statement, Monday (08/09/2021).
Chief of Yogykarta Regional Police said the 12 tons of liquid oxygen would soon be distributed to number of areas. Among them are four major hospitals in Yogyakarta, people of Kulon Progo, Sleman and Yogyakarta City.
On this occasion, the two-star General said the positive cases of Covid 19 in Yogyakarta are still quite high. Although it is true that the daily addition of positive cases of Covid-19 is starting to decline.
"Positive cases in Yogyakarta are still quite high, yesterday there were 1194 cases, but positive rate is still above national average. If you count the number exposed, it’s in rank 4, below big provinces in Java, but for daily positives it has now fallen," he said.
Chief of Yogyakarta Regional Police mentioned currently Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) is getting smaller or decreasing. It is considered as the hard work of all parties who are synergizing in tackling Covid-19 pandemic.
"BOR is now 74 percent, compared to a few weeks ago it was still 90 percent. This is because patients are decreasing and our effort to convert number of beds in hospitals and in integrated isolation so they can increase. All Yogyakarta Regional Police personnels continue to try to help the community," he said.
On this occasion, Head of Public Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yuliyanto, said this was the second time PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia provided 12 tons of liquid oxygen for hospitals and people of Yogyakarta.
"Yogyakarta Regional Police again received oxygen grants from the CSR of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia. This is the second time collaboration of providing free oxygen," Head of Public Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police said.
Head of Public Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police stated there would be distribution of oxygen to number of targeted areas. There is already separate mechanism for distributing oxygen to community and distributing oxygen to four hospitals in Yogyakarta.
"This 2.5 tons oxygen will be given to Bhayangkara Hospital, Dr Sardjito Hospital 2 tons, Bethesda Hospital 2 tons, UGM RSA 2 tons, Kulon Progo people 1 ton and 2.5 tons for people of Sleman and Yogyakarta," he explained.
Head of Public Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police said the oxygen assistance for community would be deposited in several oxygen filling places. All people can get the opportunity to fill oxygen with a few notes.
One of them is people who want to fill oxygen must attach certificate from local village official. The certificate must state that the person concerned and the family are undergoing independent isolation.
"All people can refill oxygen through agents by showing a certificate that the person concerned or his family is undergoing self-isolation at home," he explained.
Head of Public Affairs of Yogyakarta Regional Police mentioned 2.5 tons of oxygen given to people of Sleman and Yogyakarta City would be deposited in Bayu Sari Alam (BSA), Denggung Sleman.
At that location, apart from providing oxygen, social services were also carried out by providing 300 packages of nine-basic-needs and 300 boxes of masks.
"People who are undergoing independent isolation and need oxygen assistance can come there (BSA) to get free oxygen by showing a certificate from head of neighborhood (RT/RW/Dukuh) that their family is indeed conducting self-isolation and need oxygen," he said.
