The authorities finally address the findings of 61,18 tons of undistributed cooking oil in Makassar. According to the Head of the Food Task Force, Inspector General (Irjen). Drs. Helmy Santika, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc., initially suspected that there had been distribution abuse so that it was not distributed to the public.

"The team found allegations of distribution abuse by distributing it to the industry instead of to households or traditional markets," said the Head of the Food Task Force at the National Police Headquarters, Monday (21/2).

He added that the police are currently looking for a reason for diverting distribution by the suspect. It is not yet clear whether it was a pure mistake or there is a profit motive.

"We will further explore what is the 'intention' of diverting the cooking oil to the industry, whether it was for a profit or simply not paying attention to government regulations," stated the Head of the Food Task Force.

Irjen Helmy confirmed that the police would take firm action in this regard. One of them is to impose sanctions on related parties.

"We are still investigating this, and what sanctions can we give," concluded the Head of the Food Task Force.
