Chief of Indonesian National Police emphasises to all Chiefs of Regional and Departmental Police not to hesitate in giving firm sanctions in the form of criminal offences or disrespectful dismissals to the personnel not conducting duties according to regulations.
A firm stance is needed. So, please fire, dismiss them without respect, and process the criminal offence immediately. Conduct this soon and make others an example. I asked for no hesitation from regional unit chiefs. Otherwise, I will take over that", the Chief of Indonesian National Police said during his instructions to the personnel through the conference video in Indonesian National Police Headquarter, South Jakarta.
According to the Chief of Indonesian National Police, the action of the said Police personnel have torn the Indonesian National Police's dignity and hurt the hard works and commitments of the Bhayangkara corps, which have optimally worked for the people.
"I do not want the same things to happen in the future. We have to take firm measures because we have to look at our personnel who have been conducting great example and working hard and being tired to do good, and their reputation crushed because of these things. Please take this seriously and conduct concrete steps", the Former Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police said.
On the other side, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police also appreciated all personnel who have been struggling and working hard to defend the dignity of institutions and working for the sake of Indonesian nations. Chief of Indonesian National Police hoped that the personnel's action would not loosen the spirit of the personnel who have been working hard.
"I appreciated the hard work. Keep the spirit and believe what you conduct in the field is in accordance with the SOP. However, if there are any intentions and violations from the Police personnel who could crush the institution's dignity, I am asking for no hesitation to punish with assertive measures", Chief of Indonesian National Police concluded.
