Arresting 3 Suspects, North Sumatra Regional Police Successfully Secured 89 Kg of Meths and 2 Long-barreled Weapons

Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Medan. North Sumatra Regional Police managed to arrest three suspects, SB, from Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, M (20) and MF (36), from East Aceh Regency, Aceh.

Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said his team also managed to secure evidence in the form of 89 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, two long-barreled weapons of the AK-47 and M16 types and 150 rounds of ammunition.

"Three suspects were secured from separate locations. In addition, officers also secured 48,418 ecstasy pills and confiscated 20 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from SB's hands." the Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatra Regional Police said, Wednesday (06/16).

"Based on SB's statement, officers then drove to Matang Pelawi Hamlet, Peurlak, East Aceh and arrested M and MF yesterday afternoon," he said.

Police also managed to find 69 kilograms of methamphetamine and 48,418 ecstasy pills, as well as two long-barreled weapons from the hands of M and MF.

"Both of them were arrested at MF's house without a fight," the Head of Public Afairs of North Sumatra Regional Police said.

The two long-barreled weapons were obtained by the suspect in Sungai Hiu Simpang Opak area, Aceh Tamiang, from an acquaintance while working in Malaysia with the initials JH (fugitive). The firearm was previously used to escort when picking up methamphetamine, the Head of Public Afairs of North Sumatra Regional Police mentioned.

"After the weapon was in the hands of suspect M, then JH contacted him again three days later to pick up methamphetamine and ecstasy pills on Medan-Banda Aceh Cross Road in Peureulak area, East Aceh, to people he did not know with the promise of a salary of IDR 20 million," the Head of Public Afairs of North Sumatra Regional Police concluded.
