Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The preparation for the 20th National Sports Week (PON XX) that would be held from October 2 to 15 in Papua is getting finalised, including from the security aspects.
Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police ensure that they have identified the security of the PON XX event in Papua to prevent disturbance from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
"(We) have identified anything that might arise, such as disturbance from KKB. We have identified that", Chief of Public Information Bureau of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, on Friday (17/9/2021).
Chief of Public Information Bureau said that Armed Forces and Police had prepared the security of PON XX Papua optimally to prevent disturbance or terror from KKB.
"In the context of securing PON XX in Papua, Police and Armed Forces and other institutions have prepared security plan from the said event. Police, Armed Forces, and other institutions have certainly prepared preventive measures of disturbance caused by KKB", Chief of Public Information Bureau said.
Chief of Public Information Bureau said that Papua Regional Police has held regional operations focused on the PON XX security. Chief of Public Information Bureau also hoped that PON could run smoothly and safely.
"For the security, Papua Regional Police held the regional operation focused on the security of all events related to PON, such as securing people, goods, location, or event. We are securing those. I hope the event could run well", the Chief of Public Information Bureau explained.
"We are, of course, hoped that PON XX in Papua could run safely and peacefully. Wish us luck", Chief of Public Information Bureau added.
