Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government extended the PPKM Mikro (Micro-scaled Public Activity Limitation Enforcement) through the Home Affair Minister Instruction No. 13 of 2021. This instruction becomes an effort to suppress Covid-19 spread after Eid and findings of new variants.
Jakarta Capital Region becomes one of the regions with a significant rise of Covid-19 cases. The government of Jakarta and Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police have taken several measures to suppress Covid-19 transmission.
One of them is holding Justice Operation in Jakarta to enforce Health Protocols.
"Now, Covid-19 in Jakarta have reached 4,000 daily new cases. Therefore, the primary measure is to tighten Health Protocols enforcement to the Jakartans through the Judicial Operation. This is our preemptive and preventive strike", Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, said on Friday (18/6/2021).
Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus added that Police with Armed Forces and Jakarta Provincial Government would hold a massive rally in National Monument (Monas). They are also will patrol together to remind the public of the importance of face mask usage.
"We will hold a rally in Monas. We also will hold a massive patrol in the form of Judicial Operation. We also will remind the public to wear a face mask because the key to suppressing Covid-19 cases is the discipline of Health Protocols", Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.
Greater Jakarta Regional Military Commander, Armed Forces Major General Mulyo Aji, held a meeting with Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Fadil Imran, in the Meeting Hall of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter, South Jakarta, Friday (18/6/2021).
During the meeting, both discussed Covid-19 rising cases, especially in Jakarta and the extension of PPKM Mikro.
