Anticipating the Spread of Covid-19, East Java Regional Police Perform Insulation at the Surabaya-Madura Entrance

Regarding the addition of positive cases of Covid-19 in Bangkalan, the East Java Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) held insulation operations at two entrances, namely Surabaya and Madura. The insulation operation was to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 in the city of Surabaya. This was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of East Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko.


"Anticipating the spread of Covid-19, East JavaRegional Leadership Communication Forum in collaboration with the Regency and Municipal Governments made efforts, one of which was blocking the two entrances to Surabaya and Madura," explained Head of PR.


The Head of PR also hopes that everyone who does mobility and through the Suramadu Bridge could carry Covid-19 negative documents and letters. In addition, at the Insulation post location, a rapid antigen test is also provided for those who do not have or carry Covid-19 Insulation documents and letters.


It is hoped that those who carry out mobility in Suramadu must carry a Covid-19 negative letter. At the post prepare rapid antigens, he continued.


"In the vicinity of the Insulation location, the provincial government has also prepared a field hospital for emergencies if needed in the isolation process. "Hopefully, the spread from Madura to Surabaya can be suppressed, health workers from the National Armed Forces and the East Java Regional Police have been sent directly to the Bangkalan location," he added.


The Head of PR also stated that the East Java Regional Leadership Communication Forum also asked for help from the community, religious and youth leaders in Bangkalan to help alert the public to continue implementing the Covid-19 process.


“We ask for help from the community and religious leaders to youths to raise awareness for the Madurese community to obey the health protocols. Activities for 3T are still ongoing, hoping that the spread of Covid-19 in Bangkalan can be suppressed. Regarding the sticker sticking from the Bangkalan location, we focus on Bangkalan," he explained.


Furthermore, the Head of PR emphasized that there will be additional personnel on duty in the field so that the isolation operation process can run smoothly and safely. In addition to this rapid antigen test, there will also be a GeNose system to accelerate the Covid-19 screening.


"It is anticipated that there will be additional personnel and antigen swabs in Surabaya and Bangkalan so that there is no buildup, there is also a GeNose system. We've all been down on the field," he said.
