Anticipating the increase in Covid-19, North Sumatra Regional Police Establishes 121 Integrated Security Posts During Christmas and New Year

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police established as many as 121 integrated security posts, which will be established at several points in North Sumatra during the Implementation of Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022.

In his explanation, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said that the Sumatran Regional Police and Resort Police, in parallel, would establish security posts and service posts during the Nataru celebrations. The integrated Security and Check Point, which was established were 121 with the strengthening of the combined personnel of the National Armed Forces, National Police, Ministry of Transportation, Municipal Police, Regional Disaster, Public Health Office and related stakeholders as many as 11 456 personnel.

"In addition to security posts, the North Sumatran Police and the ranks of the Resort Police have also established 32 Service Posts, including 102 checkpoints. Later, the joint personnel will be placed at the Security and Check Point and Service point and distributed at tourist sites or entertainment venues, shopping centres and malls. The personnel stationed at the Pam Post will check on car and motorcycle drivers. We will prepare a Q barcode for every post to be scanned through the PeduliLindungi application. The hope is that they will find out if they have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 or have been vaccinated. If you have been vaccinated and there is no reaction, you can walk. Nevertheless, suppose it has not been vaccinated. In that case, it will be vaccinated on the spot, or we will take it to the nearest Clinic, so the community must complete the Care for Protection application," added the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police.

"Currently, all of Indonesia will apply Community Activity Restriction Enforcement level 3, all the rules stated in Inmendagri 62 of 2021 regarding Christmas and New Year Regulations will be strictly enforced considering that the Covid-19 pandemic still hits North Sumatra Province. For that, I urge people not to travel or go home during the Christmas and New Year celebrations this time. This has also been conveyed by the head of the North Sumatra Province's Regional Finance and Asset Agency (Inter-Church Cooperation Agency). In addition, to continue to obey procedures such as wearing masks, washing hands regularly, avoiding crowds, keeping your distance and reducing mobility. Of course, we hope that together, so that a third wave of the spread of Covid-19 does not occur, the public should be able to restrain themselves and stay at home to celebrate Christmas and the New Year," said the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police.
