To provide a sense of security in churches in Bangka Belitung Islands during Christmas and New Year Eve, Bangka Belitung Police have prepared 1,930 personnel to carried out security operations.
“They will secure Christmas eve and New Year eve by doing sterilization in churches, although not all. We will accommodate our personnel to provide best service to the community,” say the Head Ops of Bangka Belitung Police, Commissioner Pontjo Soediantoko, Tuesday (12/20).
He says that other than securing posts, personnel would also sterilize situations in churches. Bangka Belitung Island Police will also coordinate with the ranks of polices in listing the churches. Then, we will deploy our personnel to those churches.
“After that, just like year, there will be a security operation and appeals from Regional Leadership Coordination Forum to the christians who celebrate Christmas,” says Head Ops of Bangka Belitung Police.
He adds that the security in those churches will be in accordance with the schedules, although the operation will began since December 23rd, 2022, to January 2nd, 2023.
“We have planned 1,930 personnel, which 843 of them are from the Police, 184 from other institutions, and 904 others from the Military,” says Bangka Belitung Island Head Ops.
