Inp.polri.go.id - Batam. Ahead of Celebrating Bhayangkara Day, Riau Island Regional Police Organized Free Surgery for Children With Cleft Lip and Palate.


Head of Public Affairs of Riau Island Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Harry Goldenhardt said the free surgery activity of cleft lip and palate was conducted for 3 days, started from June 14 to June 16, 2021.


Patient screening was held on Monday, June 14, 2021 and of 21 patients, only 13 patients met the requirements. The other 8 was failed due to the rapid antigen was positive, the patient got fever and cough. On the first day, June 14, there were 3 children who got surgery. On June 15, there were 7 children who got surgery, and on the third day, there were 3 children who got surgery.


"This activity was conducted in cooperation with Smile Train Foundation Indonesia. This activity is the manifestation of the Indonesia National Police's concern, particularly regarding a health issue. On this last day, I hope this activity, free cleft lip and palate surgery, could ease people's burden. And I hope we can carry out this activity regularly," the Head of Batam Bhayangkata explained
